What are reference systems?

Basically, reference systems show the origin of the coordinates.

So, in the following figure, the green dot will have certain coordinates or others, depending on where we start to count, that is, depending on the reference system we use.

These reference systems have names, such as ED50, ETRS89 or WGS84.
